Jack Daniel's Bonded 100 Proof Tennessee Whiskey is Jack made to the strict standard of the 1897 Bottled-in-Bond Act: the product of one distillery and one distilling season, aged at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse and bottled at exactly 100 proof. Launched in 2022 as a permanent addition to the Lynchburg lineup, it was named Whisky Advocate's Whisky of the Year that same year.
Bonded uses Jack's time-honored recipe of 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye, charcoal mellowed through sugar maple before aging. The distillery hand-selects barrels for deeper color, flavor and aroma, which gives Bonded a darker, richer, more oak-forward character than Old No. 7, layered with caramel, rich oak and spice and a pleasantly lingering finish. At 100 proof it is a huge step up for cocktails, making a proper Tennessee Old Fashioned or Manhattan, and it is a fantastic value for a bonded whiskey.
