M&H Classic Israeli Single Malt Whisky
M&H Classic is the flagship single malt from Milk & Honey, Israel's first whisky distillery, founded in Tel Aviv in 2014 with guidance from the late Dr. Jim Swan. It is distilled from malted barley in copper pot stills and matured in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels, STR red wine casks and virgin oak, then bottled at 46% ABV, non chill-filtered and uncolored, in a 750ml bottle. Tel Aviv's warm climate matures whisky fast, so Classic drinks with a roundness well beyond its years.
The nose is gentle vanilla sweetness with light oak and floral notes. The palate is light-bodied with vanilla, caramel and honey balanced by wood and a touch of black pepper spice, and the finish is short but delicate, with lingering oak and light spice. It is an easy, well-made introduction to Israeli whisky and to the M&H range.
