Description: This rum has a light copper color and a rich mouthfeel. Its aroma and flavor are candied and funky, with hints of caramel, soft papaya, hearts of palm, and banana. The body is oily and full, with a slightly off-dry finish that is warm and long-lasting. The finish is characterized by nut butter, toffee, and pineapple cake flavors. Overall, the rum has a dessert-like quality that is sure to delight the senses.

This rum is very understated and not well known to the masses. I consider myself to have a fairly complex and discerning palate with rum, and this one has become my go-to sipper for when I don't feel like making the usual complicated (yet delicious) cocktails. I've tried Bacoo's light as well as the 8 year aged, and I found that I prefer this 5 year. I still keep the others stocked in my home bar, but this one definitely has more shelf room dedicated to it. ;)
