Description: Established in 1711 in Imazu, Hyogo Prefecture—renowned for its exceptional water quality—Ozeki Sake has been celebrated for centuries and is now one of Japan's leading saké brewers. In the 1970s, as Japan emerged as a global economic power, interest in Japanese cuisine and culture grew significantly in the U.S., introducing many to saké alongside the rising popularity of sushi. However, in those early days, the saké available outside Japan often lacked quality, with few experienced brewers producing premium saké locally. To meet the demand for fresh, high-quality saké in the U.S., Ozeki began production in Hollister, California, in 1979, bringing its centuries-old expertise to American consumers.
