Yeyo Reposado Tequila is a rum-cask reposado from master distiller Sergio Cruz at NOM 1414, Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados in Arandas, Los Altos de Jalisco. Estate-grown Tequilana Weber agave from the Arandas highlands is slow-cooked in stone and brick ovens, roller-milled, fermented without fibers for more than 190 hours in stainless steel with deep well water (and the house Mozart playlist), then double distilled in copper pot stills. Instead of the ex-bourbon barrels most reposados use, Yeyo rests the spirit roughly nine months in white oak casks that previously held dark rum, which the brand says contributes a richer, rounder profile, and it is bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a 750ml bottle. The brand describes it as free of additives. It took Double Gold at the 2025 Agavos Awards, and Tequila Matchmaker reviewers tag cooked agave, butter, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, banana and tropical fruit on the nose with butterscotch, baking spice, orange, clove, chocolate and a little oak, leather and tobacco on the palate.
