Architect is a Sonoma-focused brand built around precision and place, with wines blended from several of the county's most celebrated regions and labels illustrated with architectural drawings by Michael Broadbent, Master of Wine, artist and architect. This Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir comes from the cool, fog-driven western edge of Sonoma County, where Pacific winds slow ripening and keep acidity high. Bottled at 14.5% alcohol, the wine earned 90 points from Wine Enthusiast. It brings aromas of black cherry, toasty spices and rose petals, and the richly textured palate centers on flavors of crushed berry, black plum and barrel spice. A note of sage lifts the finish and adds a savory edge to the dark fruit. The body is fuller than many coastal Pinot Noirs, with enough structure to stand up to more robust dishes. Pair it with seared duck breast, herb-crusted lamb or mushroom risotto, and it also works with grilled salmon. Serve it slightly cooler than room temperature and give it a few minutes to open up. 750ml bottle. Vintages may vary; we ship the current release.
