Château de Briat 2004 Vintage Bas-Armagnac
Château de Briat 2004 Vintage Bas-Armagnac comes from the Bas-Armagnac estate of the Baron de Pichon-Longueville family, better known for their Pauillac château in Bordeaux. Château de Briat, in Mauvezin d'Armagnac, produces single-vintage Armagnacs from its own vines, distilled in the traditional column still and aged in Gascon oak. This 2004 vintage is bottled at 48% ABV, close to cask strength.
Vintage Armagnac shows a single harvest's character: here, rich dried fruit, prune and fig with baking spice and subtle oak, a full, rustic palate that the higher proof carries with weight, and a long, warming finish with a touch of rancio. A drop of water opens it up.
Vintage-dated brandy makes a memorable gift for a 2004 birthday or anniversary, and this 750ml bottle is an aristocratic example. Buy Château de Briat 2004 Vintage Bas-Armagnac online with fast shipping right to your door.
