Lost Lore x Elvira, Mistress of the Dark is a limited-edition blanco tequila that pairs Lost Lore's additive-free Jalisco tequila with the Queen of Halloween herself, Cassandra Peterson's Elvira, on a collector's label of bats, candles and the Mistress in full glam. Lost Lore was founded by Arturo Lomas III to revive a family distilling tradition that began with his great-grandfather in the early 1900s, and it is made at Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados, NOM 1414, in Arandas. Per the producer, this release starts with fully mature tequilana Weber agave from the Jalisco valley, slow-roasted in centuries-old stone and brick ovens, roller-milled, and fermented open-air in stainless steel with deep-well water and a farmhouse yeast while haunting melodies play to the tanks, then double distilled in copper pots and bottled with no additives at 45% ABV, 90 proof, in a 750ml bottle. Lost Lore describes it as velvety and rich in agave flavor with a smooth, spooky complexity, decadent and dangerously sippable, and signs off the way Elvira always did: until next time, unpleasant dreams.
