Rogue Pinot Spruce Gin is Rogue Spirits' award-winning Spruce Gin (now sold as Farmhouse Gin) aged four to six months in Oregon Pinot Noir barrels at the distillery in Newport, Oregon. The base gin is made with fresh Oregon spruce tips, 100 pounds of hand-peeled cucumber per batch and nine other natural botanicals and spices, and the aged version is bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof).
The Pinot barrels give it a slightly more robust body and mouthfeel, highlighting the gin's fruity esters and adding smooth, restrained vanilla, oak and soft tannin along with a pale rosy tint. The base recipe took Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and Platinum at the World Beverage Competition.
