TC Craft Blanco Tequila
TC Craft Blanco Tequila is the unaged flagship of TC Craft, a Nashville-owned brand founded by brothers Chad and Todd Botorff, who worked with a Jalisco master distiller to build an approachable highland tequila. It is distilled by Vinos y Licores Azteca (NOM 1533) in the southern highlands of Los Altos de Jalisco, Mexico, from 100% blue Weber agave grown in red volcanic soil, cooked in stone brick ovens, roller-milled, fermented open-air in stainless steel with native yeast and deep-well water, double distilled in stainless pot stills and bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof). The blanco goes straight to the bottle with no barrel time. Tequila Matchmaker's community tags cooked agave, grass, minerals and earth on the nose, with cooked and raw agave, mint, citrus and a touch of pepper on the palate; one TM reviewer sums it up as bright agave and citrus up front finishing with a slight pepper.
