Yeyo Rosa Reposado Tequila is a wine-cask reposado crafted by master distiller Sergio Cruz at the family estate in Arandas, Los Altos de Jalisco, under NOM 1414 (Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados). Estate-grown Tequilana Weber agave from the highlands' red volcanic soil is slow-cooked in stone and brick ovens, roller-milled, fermented without fibers in open-air stainless steel tanks with deep well water and the brand's signature classical-music soundtrack, then double distilled in copper pot stills. What makes it Rosa is the wood: the reposado rests in a trio of European wine casks, ex-Syrah from France, ex-Sherry from Spain and ex-Port from Portugal, which lend a pink-tinged hue and a layer of dried fruit over the agave. Batches are blended and bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof) in a 750ml bottle. Tequila Matchmaker's community tags caramel, baking spice, earth, apple, berry, citrus, cooked agave and oak on the nose, and caramel, cinnamon, maple, grapes, dried cherries, prune, rose, chocolate and cooked agave on the palate, with one reviewer scoring it 92 and calling it bold, rich-bodied and well balanced.
