Alma del Jaguar was launched in 2023 by former attorney McCauley Williams, inspired by his uncle Rick Williams's work protecting wild jaguars in northern Mexico. The brand donates a share of proceeds to the Northern Jaguar Project and other conservation groups, and ships in recycled-glass bottles with agave-fiber labels.

The tequila is made at NOM 1414, Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados in Arandas, Los Altos de Jalisco, by master distiller Sergio Cruz, using estate Blue Weber agave grown at about 6,800 feet in iron-rich red soil. Piñas are cooked in brick ovens, roller-milled, fermented in open-air tanks with wild and Champagne yeasts, and double distilled in small copper pot stills. We carry the Blanco, Reposado, Añejo and the seasonal Nocturna Blanco High Proof, fermented with wild yeast and bottled at 101 proof.
