This is a unicorn to the GIN category. I am absolutely stunned by how incredible smooth this barrel-aged gin is. I have been creating barrel-aged Negroni’s & Old-Fashion’s for my family. They all love WATERLOO. I am just about ready for a re-order. CHIP’S is the perfect spot and the team is helpful.

Drank a bottle of this during a long weekend in Ft Lauderdale and around a visit to Mai-Kai. I really enjoyed it. I would classify it in a traditional English style, Bajan-adjacent let’s say. This is a little more laid back than the funky Jamaicans and Agricola’s that I’ve been drinking lately so it says something that I enjoyed it so much. I saw the previous one-star review and was flabbergasted. When I read it, it was nothing about the rum only about shipping damage. People are dumb. I couldn’t let that stand. This is a beautiful product and represents excellent value. Purchase this made in the USA spirt with pride and confidence.

Went to the SECRET GARDEN DISTILLERY in Scotland and fell in love with the elderflower gin. You cannot get it in the states, so when I found Chip's in the US, I was so happy! I stocked up since the delivery cost was the same for 1 than it was for 4! Thanks again for carrying this. Even shipped one to my bestie who traveled to Scotland with me!

Nose: fresh sugarcane, agricole “funk”, maritime breeze, subdued red apple, fresh coconut husks, bell peppers, slight hint of cilantro

Palate: initial sweet taste with a warming feeling from the alcohol with notes of fresh sugarcane, vegetal grass and banana blossom, and bitter cacao

Finish: long and warming like a nice hug, with an emphasis on the cacao, but with sugarcane juice in the background

Overall pretty good, would buy again. I do think the price is maybe a bit high for the quality of the product, but it’s still really good and very expressive.

My new favorite rum. Absolutely delicious with plenty of funk. If you love Jamaican rums you NEED to give this one a try
