Isle of Raasay Distillery is the first legal distillery on Raasay, a small Hebridean island between Skye and the Scottish mainland. Bill Dobbie and Alasdair Day opened it in 2017, and everything is distilled, matured, and bottled on the island with water from the on-site well. The spirit is double distilled in Frilli copper pot stills, and the distillery makes six distinct whiskies, peated and unpeated, across three cask types: ex-Woodford Reserve rye casks, ex-Bordeaux red wine casks, and new Chinkapin oak. The flagship Hebridean Single Malt is a blend of all six.
